6 ALF Graphical Debugging Environment

Our ``Alien Life Form'' program, ALF, provides a graphical user interface for waveform management and debugging. Not only is it useful for installing and starting waveforms, but it also provides a selection of debugging tools. When a waveform is running, the developer is able to monitor the throughput of components, plot data in real time, and input or output data to components in a waveform. ALF also gives the user the ability to run components that are not part of a host waveform in the framework.
